About Paws for the Cause

We are dog lovers helping dogs. Paws for the Cause is a Toronto-based organization that raises money for the Ontario Veterinary College’s Pet Trust Fund. In 2011, a portion of the money raised was used to create the Paws for the Cause scholarship which will provide financial assistance to a veterinary student at the University of Guelph.

Who We Support: OVC Pet Trust Fund

Ontario Vetinary College

The Ontario Veterinary College’s Pet Trust Fund honours the relationship between pets, their people and veterinary care givers. We do this by raising funds and supporting learning, healthcare, and research at the Ontario Veterinary College.

OVC Pet Trust is Canada’s first charitable fund entirely dedicated to advancing the health and well being of companion animals Since 1986, the OVC Pet Trust has raised millions of dollars through the generosity of friends and supporters like Paws for the Cause.

Funding from the OVC Pet Trust has led to major improvements in anaesthesia and pain control for pets, heart disease and heart monitoring techniques, dermatology, understand the human-animal bond, and more.
